Fire Safety Officer

The Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Safety Officer to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety compliance across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain fire safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular fire risk assessments and safety audits
• Ensure compliance with fire safety laws, codes, and standards
• Coordinate installation, inspection, and maintenance of fire protection systems (alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers)
• Organize fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises
• Train employees and staff on fire safety awareness and emergency response
• Investigate fire incidents and prepare detailed reports
• Liaise with local fire departments and regulatory authorities
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and compliance documentation
• Monitor building occupancy and ensure proper emergency exits and signage

Qualifications

Must have

• Diploma / ANY TRADE & PDIS
• 5+ years experience

Qualities

• Ensure all plant safety protocols
• Ensure proper handling of systems
• Maintain housekeeping and operational discipline
