The Role
We are seeking a responsible and experienced Electrical Shift Incharge to oversee all electrical operations during shift hours. The role involves ensuring uninterrupted power supply, supervising electrical systems, and managing breakdowns across process and utility sections.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage plant electrical operations during shift
- Ensure continuous power supply to:
- Process Plant (Milling, Fermentation, Distillation, etc.)
- Utilities (Boiler, TG, Compressor, Cooling Tower)
- Monitor and maintain:
- Transformers, PCC/MCC panels, VFDs, motors
- DG and power backup systems
- Handle electrical breakdowns and emergency troubleshooting
- Coordinate with production, mechanical, and instrumentation teams
- Maintain and record shift logs, energy consumption, and incidents
- Ensure proper load management and power distribution
- Execute and monitor preventive maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards
Qualifications
Must have
- 4-8 years in industrial plant electrical operations
- Experience in distillery / chemical / power plant preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years in supervisory/shift handling role
Qualities
- Strong troubleshooting in industrial electrical systems
- Knowledge of HT/LT panels, motors, drives, transformers
- Familiarity with energy monitoring systems
- Leadership and shift management skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly
- Ensure strict adherence to electrical safety procedures
- Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) practices
- Maintain proper documentation and reporting
