Distillation Operator

The Role

We are looking for a skilled Distillation Operator to operate and monitor distillation systems in our ethanol and ENA production plant. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth plant operation, maintaining product quality, and optimizing process efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control distillation columns via DCS or manual valves.
• Maintain precise temperature, pressure, and flow rate parameters.
• Sample and test alcohol purity to ensure ENA/Ethanol standards.
• Execute plant start-up, shut-down, and CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process deviations immediately.
• Document production yields, logs, and energy consumption hourly.
• Coordinate with fermentation and effluent treatment teams for smooth flow.
• Enforce strict safety protocols regarding flammable liquid handling.

Qualifications

Must have

• 10TH PASS TO ANY GRADUATE (Diploma / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering preferred)
• 3+ years experience in Distillery / ENA Plant preferred
• Strong understanding of distillation process
• Ability to interpret process parameters & trends
• Basic knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems
• Good troubleshooting and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in rotational shifts

Qualities

• Follow all plant safety protocols
• Ensure proper handling of steam and alcohol systems
• Maintain housekeeping and operational discipline
