AGM Human Resources
The Role
We are seeking an experienced, seasoned, and execution-driven AGM Human Resources to lead and strengthen the organization’s people function. This is a high-trust leadership role responsible for establishing structured HR systems, enforcing policy discipline, strengthening team accountability, and ensuring seamless workforce management.
This role will act as a strategic partner to leadership while ensuring strong operational control across recruitment, performance management, compliance, and employee governance. The role requires sound judgment, structured execution capability, and the ability to independently drive outcomes across departments.
Responsibilities
1. HR Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the organization’s HR strategy aligned with business objectives
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational structure
- Drive succession planning and leadership development initiatives
- Strengthen performance culture and accountability standards
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee recruitment strategy and senior-level hiring
- Ensure structured hiring processes and evaluation frameworks
- Monitor manpower planning and budgeting
- Improve quality of hire and retention strategies
3. Performance Management & Culture
- Lead structured performance appraisal cycles
- Establish measurable KRAs/KPIs across functions
- Drive performance review discipline
- Promote accountability and ownership culture
4. HR Operations & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure compliance with statutory labor laws and regulatory requirements
- Oversee payroll governance, documentation, and HRMS discipline
- Maintain audit-ready employee records and policy documentation
- Strengthen internal controls and HR process governance
5. Employee Engagement & Organizational Stability
- Drive structured employee communication and engagement initiatives
- Manage employee relations matters with maturity and discretion
- Address workplace issues with balanced judgment
- Maintain a professional and disciplined work environment
6. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead and mentor the HR team
- Ensure grooming, professionalism, and alignment with company standards
- Drive capability development within the HR function
- Build structured reporting and review mechanisms
Qualifications
Must have

- Must be based in Dhenkanal or reside within a commutable distance of the office.
- Candidates should be able to work in the office on a full-time basis.

- Maintain audit-ready employee records and documentation
- Strengthen HRMS utilization and digital record management
- Conduct periodic internal compliance audits
- Oversee payroll governance and documentation accuracy
- Resolve employee issues with fairness, discretion, and clarity
- Prevent unnecessary escalation to leadership
- Maintain professional and disciplined workplace standards
- Strengthen grievance handling systems
- Lead and structure the HR team with defined accountability
- Ensure grooming, professionalism, and brand-aligned communication standards
- Drive manager training on people discipline and accountability
- Conduct structured review meetings with department heads
- Develop monthly HR reports covering headcount, attrition, hiring status, performance metrics, and compliance risks
- Provide leadership with clear visibility on workforce stability and talent gaps
- Highlight risks proactively with actionable recommendations
